Well-preserved tiger hat with excellent facial features and exquisite silk embroidery. Chinese children's hats were designed as tigers and dragons to protect the child from sickness, ward off evil spirits, and also imbue the child with important qualities such as wealth, health, courage, academic success, happiness, long life, grace, and beauty. These hats were full of symbolism.
This hat is in good condition. The hat measures roughly 14cm by 15cm.
