Japanese Horn Inrō with 3 tiers carved and decorated with gold gilt.
An Inrō is a traditional Japanese case for holding small objects, commonly used to carry medicine and identity seals. Due to the Japanese robes laking pockets, objects were often carried by hanging them from the obi which is the sash worn around the waist.
